“Barely There” is a little still life oil painting in the style of “chiaroscuro”. Painted with old masters’ techniques and resulting in modern impressionistic design. The red onion in this piece seems to be partially hiding in the dark as brushwork demonstrates thick impasto paint application along with smooth backgrounds and disappearing edges. Bold and muted colors blend together to depict an intriguing scene.
