“A Touch of Colour” is an impressionistic floral oil painting. This artwork is done with an unusual technique where the base colors were applied in a “grisaille” method (gray and white). The paints were then allowed to dry almost completely and then scraped off leaving the shadow of a peony with scrape marks. Small touches of transparent glazes were then applied to create the look of an antiquated piece of art. This original oil painting looks great in a room with white or grey  or blue walls.
